A new name. The same captain. The same love for Florida's Forgotten Coast.
Drift South Charters marks the next chapter for a fishing experience many guests already know. For years, anglers fished these waters with KeeneFish Charters. Today, that same experience continues — the name may be new, but the captain, the knowledge of the Gulf, and the commitment to a great day on the water remain the same.
With a new boat and a renewed focus on creating memorable trips, Drift South Charters is built to serve both longtime clients and visitors discovering Florida's Forgotten Coast for the first time.

Port St. Joe, Apalachicola, and Mexico Beach sit along one of the most unique stretches of shoreline in Florida. Locals call it the Forgotten Coast, known for its quiet beaches, natural beauty, and excellent offshore fishing.
Trips with Drift South Charters depart from Point South Marina in Port St. Joe, providing quick access to productive Gulf waters.

Fishing should be enjoyable whether you're an experienced angler or heading offshore for the first time.
Every trip is reserved for your group only. Fish at your own pace and enjoy the day together without sharing the boat with strangers.
Decades of time on the water means knowing exactly where to go and how to adapt to conditions. Captain Rabbit grew up fishing these waters.
A 34-foot Caymas powered by triple Mercury 300s provides speed, range, and a smooth, comfortable ride to offshore fishing grounds.

Behind Drift South Charters is Captain Robert "Rabbit" Keene, a fisherman whose life has always revolved around the water.
Rabbit spent his childhood summers in Mexico Beach learning the Gulf alongside his father. During his college years at the University of Mississippi, he worked as a first mate and gained the experience that would eventually lead him to guide full-time.
Today, he is known throughout the Port St. Joe and Apalachicola area for his calm approach, local knowledge, and ability to put clients on fish. Spend enough time fishing with him, and you might even hear the story behind the nickname.
